…and it’s a boy! Jay and I haven’t picked a name yet, but if Britton had his way his brother would be named Sonic after his favorite hedgehog. As far as we can tell right now, the kiddo is healthy and at a good size, with Britton’s long scrawny leggies, Daddy’s toecurling powers, and Mommy’s tendency to cross her arms and legs to go into as small a form as possible. He’s also as stubborn as Mommy and Daddy (and then some), which means we’re in for a world of trouble… but we’ll love him to pieces regardless.

We would like to welcome two new additions to the Norfolk Cominoli house hold: Cooper and Farrah (named after some our nerdy tv heroes).  They are 9 week old beagle/hound mutts who are as sweet as can be.  Becka and I had to drive to Carolina to pick em up, but it was well worth the drive.

… for the Pats that is.  Having to sit through the Redskins song every time they scored on us was worse than nails on a chalkboard.  Luckily for us, Rex Grossman does what he does best:  throw interceptions which ended up sealing the deal for the Patriots (13-3).  This was Becka’s first NFL game, and just my second; we need to stalk Brady and company at more stadiums!  GO PATS!!

]]> http://www.cominoli.com/2011/12/on-the-first-day-of-christmas/feed/ 0 A Crisp Night In Foxboro…. http://www.cominoli.com/2011/11/a-crisp-night-in-foxboro/ http://www.cominoli.com/2011/11/a-crisp-night-in-foxboro/#comments Tue, 22 Nov 2011 21:10:24 +0000 jack http://www.cominoli.com/?p=652 On Monday, November 21, 2011 Patriot Game Tickets were transformed from birthday gifts into a night to remember at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro for Jay, Jack and Ryan.  The weather was crisp, the stadium was electrifying and the Patriots did not fail to deliver in a 34 – 3 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.   The Patriots put on a show scoring most of their points in the section of the end zone right in front of our  seats in the corner of the stadium.  So many memorable plays including… Julian Edelman’s punt return, Rob Gronkowski’s hard landing in the end zone and Tom Brady’s hard hit after the quarterback run.  Jack was spared the pain of seeing the one Patriot low point when Tom Brady fumbled while he was up looking for the rest room.  Ryan narrowly escaped being drenched when the girl behind him spilled her beer over on to his seat.  Jay’s transportation to the game was timed perfectly with a ride to an airport, flight from Virginia to Boston and a livery ride to Gillette Stadium arriving with 10 minutes to spare before the start of the game.   After a slow start, the Patriots kicked in the scoring machine that produced so many points that the New England Patriots End Zone Minuteman Militia was in danger of running out of gunpowder.

It is October 29th, two days before Halloween and we have 3 plus inches of snow on the ground right now and still falling. Power went down momentarily during the few minutes that it took to create this post (thankfully this computer is on a UPS). Trees and shrubs have not yet dropped their leaves and with the snow being so wet, most are bent over nearly to their snapping point. Just finished using a pole to bang off the snow on the shrubs and they seemed to breathe a sigh of relief as they snapped back up.
