They are growing up !
On Monday, November 21, 2011 Patriot Game Tickets were transformed from birthday gifts into a night to remember at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro for Jay, Jack and Ryan. The weather was crisp, the stadium was electrifying and the Patriots did not fail to deliver in a 34 – 3 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. The Patriots put on a show scoring most of their points in the section of the end zone right in front of our seats in the corner of the stadium. So many memorable plays including… (more…)
One peek outside right now and Christmas would be a good guess…No how about Thanksgiving…No not that one either. It is October 29th, two days before Halloween and we have 3 plus inches of snow on the ground right now and still falling. Power went down momentarily during the few minutes that it took to create this post (thankfully this computer is on a UPS). After being postponed for two weeks by Hurricane Irene with just a few hours to go, Becka & Jay were married during a simple outdoor wedding on Saturday, September 10, 2011 surrounded by family and friends. The marriage took place at Belle Isle Park in Richmond, Virginia. Access to the picturesque location is gained by a suspended walkway to the island in the James River. Friend Becka, Brother-In-Law Ryan and Son Britton also participated in the ceremony. A reception followed at Becka and Jay’s favorite restaurant, Maggiano’s Little Italy.
For our vacation to Jay and Becka’s in Virginia, I was given strict instructions to relax and to not do any work. I wasn’t suppose to even pick up a screwdriver. Unfortunately Hurricane Irene decided to make an unwelcomed visit to Hampton Roads.
Several large pine branches hung over Jay and Becks’s house and posed a real threat to snap off and do some roof damage. So after few hours of effort using my lumberjack skills under the watchful supervisor of Barb, Becka and one of their elderly neighbors, the branch threat was eliminated. AND without even picking up a screwdriver!
