Ikkyu [一休宗純], the Zen master, was very clever even as a boy. His teacher had a precious teacup, a rare antique. Ikkyu happened to break this cup and was greatly perplexed. Hearing the footsteps of his teacher, he held the pieces of the cup behind him. When the master appeared, Ikkyu asked: “Why do people have to die?”
“This is natural,” explained the older man. “Everything has to die and has just so long to live.”
Ikkyu, producing the shattered cup, added: “It was time for your cup to die.”
Who said it never snows in Texas. It’s 8:30pm on Christmas Eve and there is about 2-3 inches on snow EVERYwhere. The temp is around 26 with a wind chill of 12. BURRRRRRRRR!!! Luckily for us there are Bowl games on and lots of junk food in the house. Can’t get any better than that! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Our cousin, Steve Cominoli, takes the time to stop in at least one a year to visit with Nancy, usually during the holiday season. This year, Steve happened to stop by during the family holiday get together. Many of us had not seen our cousin in over 30 years! We got to spend a little time talking with Steve and he took a few moments to get us caught up on his brothers, sisters and mother. It was great to see Steve again.
The Cominoli family holiday get together meal was held at Nancy and Mike’s house. Tina, Jamie and family were unable to attend because of the girl’s participation in a holiday recital show. Barb and Dan sent a nice bouquet of flowers and note.

Bella is a 3 1/2 month old Bengal Tiger. She is wild and lives on in a sanctuary in Cancun Mexico. Bella weighs approx. 50 lbs. Once she reaches 10 months she will be put back into the wild.
